Name: Screech Owl
Label: "Reach for a Screech - Strong IPA"
Brewery: Castle Rock
ABV: 5.5%
Rating: "Screech Owl IPA is strong, powerful and deft whilst remaining perfectly balanced. Brewed by the award-winning Castle Rock Brewery, it's a Pale Ale that soars high. Now brewed for bottle with a higher hopping rate, it delivers the enhanced flavour profile demanded by the modern beer drinker. American hops provide additional aggression to the recipe and rip into the palate in a way akin to the deliverance from the talons of nature's natural predators. We say 'Reach for a Screech' but exercise caution!" You literally can't beat an aggressive beer.
Game: Just coming up to about half-way in the four single player campaigns for Resident Evil 6. Yeah, FOUR campaigns! And nearly half-way through means I've nearly finished... er... two of them. Amazing game, superb movie-like cutscenes and action sequences. I don't remember playing an over-the-shoulder third person shooter before where you get to fly a jumbo jet, a helicopter, a jet fighter, drive a jeep, be a gunner on said jeep and have fights against massive mutant bosses. More fun than you can shake a vial of C-Virus at. 8/10.
Game and ale reviews all in one handy place, helping you to game and drink excessively. Bite size reviews for those in a hurry or people like me who can't be arsed reading more than a couple of paragraphs in one sitting.

Black Gold (Castle Rock)
Name: Black Gold
Label: "Championship Winner - Nottingham's dark secret"
Brewery: Castle Rock
ABV: 3.8%
Rating: "Discover Black Gold for yourself and enjoy this rich, complex brew." Go on then, discover it for yourself! If you have taste buds I guarantee you'll not be disappointed.
Game: This week I'm on the hunt for an Assassin's Creed 3 pre-order deal. Seems that for the game and some 'exclusive' DLC which seems to be a character skin or gun (I can barely contain my excitement), we're looking at a £42.99 price tag or a whopping £55.99 for the Join or Die edition. This edition probably contains extra downloadable mud for the battlefields or something. Best price so far seems to be Tesco at £39.91 with a T-Shirt, of which a photo is conspicuous by its absence. The search continues...

Harvest Pale (Castle Rock)
Name: Harvest Pale
Label: "The finest blonde beer - quality ales fortified with flavour"
Brewery: Castle Rock
ABV: 4.3%
Rating: "Originally brewed under the name of Trammie Dodger for the 2003 Nottingham CAMRA Beer Festival, Harvest Pale has become a beer of which we are particularly proud. We believe that we've created a golden, crisp and satisfyingly hoppy beer that retains the guile and poise that you'd expect from a true champion. Enjoy!"
Game: Killed a Reaper. Still playing Mass Effect 3. Not played anything else for ages. Possibly turning into a Husk. Sad face. By the way, the best synopsis ever for a TV program: Andy Farrant (@Farrantula) on SentUAMessage about The Walking Dead, "... about some people arguing in the woods near some zombies." So simple, so true. Everyone's in agreement though, it is a brilliant series. If you've never seen it, it's well worth a watch.

Elsie Mo (Castle Rock)
Name: Elsie Mo
Label: "Full-bodied & irresistible. Blonde & beautiful.
Brewery: Castle Rock
ABV: 5.0%
Rating: "Elsie Mo is named after the Low Colour Maris Otter Malt that gives our favourite golden girl her beautiful body and complexion. With a distinctive, yet delicate blend of hops, she's not only full bodied and desirable but totally irresistible." Without trying to sound sexist the lady on the bottle is quite attractive, for a two dimensional drawing that is...
Game: Checked my stats for Batman: Arkham City and noticed I've completed 75% of the main storyline. I nearly wept. I want it to last for years, it really is that good. There have been some reported issues with the Catwoman DLC - this is the DLC available to those that buy the game new. Luckily my code checked out ok and for the record, the Catwoman chapters are absolutely sublime. Her playable chapters slot into the main storyline perfectly and as far as video games go, she is quite possibly the sexiest character you'll ever er... use. Her stealth takedowns are something to behold, it's all long legs wrapped around necks and fancy acrobatic positions. She cat wees all over Halle Berry and Michelle Pfeiffer and leaves them crying into their litter trays, that's for sure.

Kiss Me Kate (Castle Rock)
Name: Kiss Me Kate
Label: "Celebrating the Marriage of HRH Prince William to Kate Middleton - Fortified with flavour - Championship winner"
Brewery: Castle Rock
ABV: 5.0%
Rating: Ok I can say I did my bit to celebrate the Royal Wedding, albeit three months later and by drinking beer. Here's to our future QILF.
Game: The big release this week was Child of Eden. I raised the funds for more games by trading in the Wii so thought it only right to use the proceeds to buy Kinect games. At first when I was playing Child of Eden I was like, WTF?? I paid how much for this? Rubbish graphics, rubbish townie music and only five levels?? However after a while it becomes completely absorbing and mesmerising. I never played Rez so this is a whole new experience unlike any other.
