Tasting notes: "The Governor is an all-malt British beer created by Marco Pierre White and JW Lees Brewery. Marco is famous for developing delicious flavours in his cooking and for searching the finest ingredients, so when he teamed up with our head brewer, Michael Lees-Jones, it was no surprise that they crafted a deliciously moreish amber ale with a zesty floral aroma and refreshing dry taste. The Governor was made to be drunk on its own and to be enjoyed with food. The recipe was designed to compliment the flavours in what you eat, not to overpower them. We like to say that The Governor is 'brewed for food'."

Game: Another Xbox Game Pass offering, Star Wars Knights of the Old Republic for Xbox Original is now backwards compatible on Xbox One X! As massive Star Wars fans we've played this several times, although shamefully, never got round to completing it. Last time we got stuck fighting some baddies and didn't have a suitable Save to go back to. Stupid stupid error. Here we go again... epic RPG time.

Game: Only a few days until the final Witcher 3 DLC lands. Blood and Wine.  I was hoping for Blood and Ale, or even just Lager, but I'll settle for Blood and Wine I guess. I love the Witcher series and want more more more but Marcin Iwinski (job title: Big Wig in Witcher-land) said in an interview, "I can assure you we are not working on another Witcher".  You can't assure negative things you foolish genius Witcher game inventorer! It's against the laws of physics or something. So this means they must actually be making a Witcher 4!  Phew, glad that's sorted. I'm going to call my mate Marcin now for a release date. Speak soon. x

Brewer's Dark (J. W. Lees)

Rating: Smooth, well-rounded and light to drink.

Game: Well Child of Eden didn't last long in my collection. Got it traded for Shadows of the Damned. Shadows is unusual, it could be quite scary - its obvious a lot of effort has gone in to creating creepy and atmospheric renditions of Hell with fantastic sound and music. And yet strangely this is purposely spoilt with excessive cock jokes and a lead character that comes across overly confident and obnoxious. Shame really.

Moonraker (J.W. Lees)

Rating: Not named after the excellent Roger Moore Bond movie unfortunately, named after farm workers who once tried to rake the moon's reflection from a Middleton stream... nowadays they get jobs in middle-management.

Game: Finished Dante's Inferno clocking in at just under 12 hours gameplay.  Completely wussed out and had to take on Lucifer on the easier setting because the wrong ass was getting severely kicked.  A now definite, 8/10 overall score. Great job Visceral Games, looking forward to part two.
