Name: Double Maxim
Label: "All flavour, no flannel - Full of Northern Character - Premium brown ale"
Brewery: Double Maxim Beer Company
ABV: 4.7%
Rating: Still famous among discerning drinkers for its well-rounded flavour. Not sure where flannels come into it though.
Game: I can now confirm that Borderlands does indeed end. Enjoyable but straight on the trade pile. Something not quite right with it. Not sure what, and don't care now anyway. Rating: 7/10. Here ends my review.
Game and ale reviews all in one handy place, helping you to game and drink excessively. Bite size reviews for those in a hurry or people like me who can't be arsed reading more than a couple of paragraphs in one sitting.

Blonde - Lightly Oaked Beer (Innis & Gunn)
Name: Blonde - Lightly Oaked Beer
Label: "Fruity Scottish beer with refreshing hints of Vanilla and Oak"
Brewery: Innis & Gunn
ABV: 6.0%
Rating: The Scotch sure know how to make a great brew.
Game: Does anyone know if Borderlands ever actually ends? Been slogging away at it for weeks now with no end in sight. Mission after mission after mission after mission, followed by a few more missions. Collect this, shoot that, kill them, over and over again. I don't mind though because it's really quite addictive, I just hope I get to finish it this century.

SA (Brains)
Name: SA
Label: "Premium Ale from Wales - Legendary premium ale brewed in Wales"
Brewery: Brains
ABV: 4.2%
Rating: Three hops: Challenger, Goldings and Fuggles. I like Brains, best drank playing Left 4 Dead, or Dead Rising.
Game: No zombies in this game (well apart from the DLC) but Borderlands is actually pretty awesome. The cel-shaded graphics look amazing although the missions become a bit of a slog, but definitely keeps you coming back for more. 7.5 / 10

6X (Wadworth)
Name: 6X
Label: "Rich copper colour, vibrant fruit and malt aromas, combined with tempting hop flavours: an easy drinking beer"
Brewery: Wadworth
ABV: 4.3%
Rating: I have no idea what 6X means. If you know please DM me @bickle77
Game: It's total game overload at the moment. I've bought a load of new games using "Easter" as a convenient excuse. Lots of great deals around so picked up Forza 3, Tom Clancy's HAWX and Darksiders. Still playing Borderlands, DJ Hero and need to replay Mass Effect 2. Just got back into FIFA 10 after definitely having my shooting boots on yesterday. Someone seriously needs to invent a cure for sleep!

Victory Ale (Batemans)
Name: Victory Ale
Label: "England Expects! - Brewed to celebrate the courage of Admiral Nelson and his crew."
Brewery: Batemans
ABV: 6.0%
Rating: FTW!
Game: After their recent DLC shenanigans, I'm really sticking it to 2K now by purchasing Borderlands. That'll learn them. Played about an hour of Borderlands and its head and shoulders above what I thought it would be. RPS - Role Playing Shooter - I think they just made that up.

Old Empire (Marston's)
Name: Old Empire
Label: "Original Export - India Pale Ale"
Brewery: Martson's
ABV: 5.7%
Rating: The Empire Strikes Back
Game: Took Afro Samurai to the checkout in Asda and the dude behind the counter proceeded to excitedly inform me about all the ways you get to dismember your enemies in the game. He seemed very pleased with the idea of being able to remove enemies arms, legs, scalps and then cut them in half. So getting slightly scared I hurriedly agreed and said it did look most cool, especially the nice cel-shaded graphics. This prompted excited chatter about the upcoming Borderlands game with its fancy cel-shaded graphics and infinite amount of guns. Game purchased, followed by a swift retreat with Asda colleagues words "I love guns, me..." fading into the distance.
