Game: So I played the above "Smash for Cash" game on the Hobgoblin website. It was rubbish. I even smashed for a spooky 666 times to see if that won me a prize, but no. Cool limited edition bottle label for Halloween though.

Game: The game of Game of Thrones is a great game about the game of thrones. Graphics are ok and animation is a bit wonky but the actual story-line and how it slots into the wider picture is really well done. Appearances and cameos by the more famous characters from the Seven Kingdoms are most pleasing. Happy New Year!

Rating: Halloween is just around the corner and the pumpkin's getting fat. The Halloween branded bottle of Hobgoblin is becoming an annual event. Different on the outside, but the same great taste!  Here's last years bottle.

Game: Boring FIFA 12 post alert. Kept getting beaten but finally managed to stop conceding so many goals and started a unbeaten run towards the end of the season finishing in the respectable(ish) tenth spot on Professional difficulty.  So with all good intentions starting my second season at the helm with Liverpool, I've vowed to play far better. So in my first two pre-season friendlies I'm on the wrong side of a 4 - 0 drubbing followed by a 3 - 1 defeat.  This is FIFA 12 telling me I suck at FIFA 12.  The Chief Exec has told me to finish top of the league too. Things are destined to end badly.

Rating: October means Halloween is on the way. A good excuse to get this seasonal version of Hobgoblin then.

Game: Finished the main story mode in Dead Rising 2, including Overtime. Managed to rack up over 5000 zombie kills during my first play through, most of which I ran over in the sports car that's on show in the mall area. I may have possibly played it too much recently because I was in our town centre shopping mall thing today and like in the game, there was a car on display. This got me thinking about driving it around the shopping centre, and as it's Warrington, the town centre is replete with its fair share of zombie look-a-likes. Oh no, the lines between gaming and reality are blurring.

Game: The Halo Reach Beta has finally been wheeled out today.  I attempted to download it but it was taking its sweet time so I suddenly lost all arsedness and the will to play it.  I like playing online but when its against randoms I can take it or leave it. I'll wait for the game proper, whenever that may be.

Rating: Ooooh scary zombies!

Game: Decapitating my way through Left 4 Dead on this occasion. Undeterred by the previous nights seemingly unwarranted "Vote to kick Bickle77 out of the session" shenanigans, I again braved online multiplayer.  Managed to get through all the main campaign chapters without too much hassle. One of the problems with this game though is a complete lack of coherent story other than trying to get away from bazillions of zombies. As its multiplayer oriented this is to be expected I suppose. Had a new friend request from a fellow zombie botherer too which was nice. Another player sent me a message that simply said "Bögfan", complete with umlauts.  Presumably it's Welsh or something and a derogatory term but haven't the foggiest idea what it means (Googled it and everything). Anyone know? I blocked their username incase it means something scary anyway.
