Name: Mr Trotter's Great British Chestnut Ale
Label: "Lovingly brewed for Mr Trotter by Lancaster Brewery Ltd"
Brewery: Lancaster Brewery
ABV: 4.0%
Rating: "Blending chestnuts with sweet Maris Otter barley has produced the hoppy harmony for which Mr Trotter was looking. The chestnuts give a nutty creaminess to the brew, a honied note to balance the alluring spiciness of the English Cascade and Bramling Cross Hops."
Game: In a thieving mood so back on Thief for a bit. Actually I was playing Dishonored on Xbox 360 (rude not to as it was a free download) but the textures seemed so muddy and last-gen I thought I'd ditch it and play something on Xbox One. Not sure if there were some huge texture pop-in delays or what. Thief is ace though, apart from the incredibly annoying-to-navigate city hub thing. Grrrr!
Game and ale reviews all in one handy place, helping you to game and drink excessively. Bite size reviews for those in a hurry or people like me who can't be arsed reading more than a couple of paragraphs in one sitting.

Black (Lancaster)
Name: Black
Label: "National Award Winning Brewery - Gold award winning stout for the true connoisseur."
Brewery: Lancaster
ABV: 4.6%
Rating: "Complex taste with a rich and full body. Crisp with a full bouquet of spices, fruit and floral aromas. Black is a stout for the true connoisseur." I wouldn't describe myself as a connoisseur (I can barely spell it) but this stout is great. I imagine this is what drinking velvet is like, but without the nasty choking issue that arises when you drink material intended for clothing or furniture.
Game: So, it appears Kingdoms of Amalur: Reckoning is a bit of an RPG cracker. Fable-y style graphics and lots of story with, at first glance, incredibly deep character progression and customisation. The skill trees are a veritable forest (I hereby copyright the term "skill forest" by the way). So far, Amalurve it. Did you see what I did there? Amalur..? Lurve..? Love..? Oh never mind.

Blonde (Lancaster)
Name: Blonde
Label: "National Award Winning Brewery - Vividly golden beer. Fine hand-crafted pale ale."
Brewery: Lancaster Brewery
ABV: 4.1%
Rating: A vivid golden bitter, Blonde (it says here) is designed to offer pale beer with real taste and aromatic impact. Like a big beer shaped asteroid.
Game: So back in September I pre-ordered Dead Rising 2 from play.com and as part of the deal, there was a feature where you could upload your photo to some website and be on the cover as a zombified dude. Well my cover arrived today and I look all zombie-like on the cover. I'm a lot thinner in real life - they do say that the camera adds a few pounds. Check the photo over there on the right, you can even click on it and see the cover in big. Fame at last! Kind of...

Amber (Lancaster)
Name: Amber
Label: "National Award Winning Brewery - Proper Lancastrian bitter. Aromatic and bursting with flavour"
Brewery: Lancaster Brewery
ABV: 3.7%
Rating: A deep gold session bitter, punching above its weight in flavour. Abundantly hoppy with subtle floral and citrus aromas.
Game: The mulitplayer of Assassin's Creed: Brotherhood is pretty darn addictive. I seem to range from being really rubbish to suddenly really pwning the other players. And they ain't no n00bs either because its ranked matches where levelled up players are matched pretty evenly. Do people still say "pwn" and "n00b" by the way?
